Project Inception

Excel Rotary Trichy Cancer Care Foundation is the non-profit charitable entity of Excel Healthcare, the newest venture of the Excel Group of Companies. Muruganandam M, fondly known as MMM, Chairman, of Excel Group of Companies, has initiated this noble cause and will be heading the project as its Managing Trustee and Convener.

As a good beginning, MMM has donated 1.3 acres of land towards the construction of the hospital. The project operations and sustainability will be backed by his Excel Group. Excel Rotary Trichy Cancel Care Foundation is joining hands with Rotary, Lions & Corporates to work towards the cause with excellence and empowerment.

Endeavouring into the healthcare field, the prime focus is that the patients can live a long, healthy and happy life with a self-assurance "எந்நிலையிலும்நான்எழுவேன்", meaning "I will rise & shine in all situations."

About Convener MMM

MMM is a renowned Chartered Engineer with 30 years of experience in supply chain management. He is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani, who has turned out as a highly successful entrepreneur, a dynamic leader, an inspiring speaker and a philanthropist. He established Excel Maritime in 2006 & it has emerged into the Excel Group of Companies comprising Excel Maritime, Excel Infra, Excel Energy, Sri Balaji Engineering, MD IMPEX, Excel Travels, Beats Jobs, Zeal Tours & Events, Excel Agro& Excel Healthcare.

As part of the CSR, MMM started The Excel Foundation in 2008 which works for the well-being of children, youth and senior citizens. He served as the Rotary District Governor in 2016-17 and also has held significant positions in Rotary in the National & International arena. MMM is a recipient of Rotary International's highest honour "Service Above Self award & the Vocational Leadership award and The Rotary Foundation's Meritorious Leadership award. He is the first Arch Klumph Society Member of Rotary International District 3000 and has been appointed as the Rotary Public Image Coordinator (RPIC) for Zone 5 (2023-26).
